Grandma arrived on Thursday to help out as Jessica heads to Ocean Sciences Meeting in Salt Lake. I wasn't sure if Dustin remembered Grandma, but with her loving baby magic, Dustin quickly found Grandma as his lastest play toy. He showed her how he could pull himself up on every thing in sight. He showed her how he could crawl, but that was boring. So he pulled himself up on Grandma and let go. I know he wanted to say "Look at me Grandma!!", but it ended with him crashing to the floor and crying. Good thing Grandma loves holding him.
The first night was an interesting discussion. Grandma offered to sleep with Dustin, which I was both concerned and happy with at the same time. It meant a she would take care of Dustin during the middle of the night and let Jessica and me sleep. I was all in favor of this, mostly. I knew that my turn was going to come shortly. Grandma has performed with flying colors. She is a natural Grandma and we are lucky to have her.
Grandma leaves tomorrow, and then I go on solo duty. It was nice to see her reading to Dustin on her final night. We will miss her, but I think we will miss Mom more. Mom, how many days till you come back?
